Our goal is to provide all of our clients with nothing but the best care in each project we take on. We believe that clear and frequent communication with clients is an absolute necessity and a basic form of respect.

Our company is built upon a strong commitment to not only the highest quality of work but also a level of professionalism that is a step above. From the first point of contact to the last time we walk out your door, our goal is to treat our clients as family and their project as if it were our own. That approach yields an inherent level of trust that is uncommon in construction. The structure of our team and systems we’ve built ensures that every phase of a project is given the attention it deserves.

We have always felt that one of the best tools we have at our disposal to maintain the highest quality work is to perform as much work “in house” as possible. With the exception of a few licensed trades and specialized work, our team has the experience and ability to carry out all phases of construction. Operating under the same umbrella as our partner division Wardell Paint & Co., both teams work together to provide a uniquely seamless experience without any sacrifice. When workers are on a project from beginning to end, it forces you to think a few steps ahead and build your best at each stage of the process. We’ve always been growth-focused. Both on an individual level in terms of our own personal abilities but also as a team. We grow not just to scale but to improve our overall services offered.

Our Team

Chris Wardell - Owner

As someone who is passionate about the Trades, Chris is honored to work with a team of amazing people who do their part in representing the residential/commercial construction market in our community. He really enjoys the people part of the business, whether it be working directly with clients, our team or peers in our sector. Chris’s main role at Wardell & Harper is focusing on sales and growth development.

Through his passion for trades-related education, he started an annual “Trades Fair” to be held at High Schools in the greater Concord area to highlight local businesses and construction related career paths.

Chris lives in Warner with his wife Kate and daughters Lucy and Hallie. They enjoy spending time with their family and friends and being part of their community.

Dave Harper - Construction Manager

Dave began his career as a hands-on carpenter and woodworker, which eventually led to owning and operating a cabinet shop prior to his tenure with Wardell & Harper. As Construction Manager, he brings this experience to bear in his role of overseeing the quality and accuracy of all our projects, managing subcontractors, and maintaining project timelines.

In addition to managing the construction side of projects, Dave is passionate about the craft and seeks to develop strategies for improving our role and reputation as members of the building industry. The ability to adapt, grow, and implement new standards improves experience and satisfaction for both craftspeople and clients.

Dave lives in Pittsfield with his wife and five children. They enjoy outdoor adventures and engaging in many local community activities.

Jeremy Everson - Foreman

Jeremy manages the daily operations at the job-site, overseeing and coordinating construction activities. He ensures the quality, accuracy, and on-time completion of our projects.

One of Jeremy’s most important roles is to mentor and train the carpentry team on best practices in the field.

Jeremy is a New England native. He has been a carpenter for more than two decades both working on the side and professionally in the Northeast, Midwest and Southwest. He has experience in all parts of construction and renovation, from siding and roofing to interior trim and cabinet installation.

Jeremy lives in Pittsfield with his wife and 7 children.

Jed Pinckney - Carpenter

Jed works in all facets of the construction projects from frame to finish. Jed is able to visualize the projects and has a natural aptitude for the building process.

Jed was born and raised in New Hampshire. He loves doing anything and everything outside, fishing, gardening etc. He received his associate horticulture degree from UNH. Jed joined Wardell & Harper as a carpenter in January of 2021.

Bobby Bernard - Carpenter

As part of our carpentry team, Bobby works on all phases of our projects. With a background in both remodeling and new construction Bobby adds valuable experience to our team.

Bobby was born and raised in New Hampshire. He joined Wardell & Harper after building two houses for his family. He lives in Chichester on a small farm, with his wife and two daughters. They enjoy activities outside and time with their German Shepherds.

John Rettew - Carpenter

John originally started working at Wardell Paint and Co in 2017. Over time John was cross-trained with the carpentry team at Wardell & Harper. Having had the 5 years of experience with the paint team, John has an exceptional eye for detail.

John spends most of his free time skateboarding with his friends at the Concord Skatepark. When he is at home he enjoys cooking and drawing.

What our customers say

We first met Chris when we hired him to paint the exterior of our home. During this process, we needed to have some repair work done to our house. Luckily, Chris had a carpenter in his employ, so his company was able to do all of the work. We had exterior shakes replaced, a garage door replaced, and they discovered some rot in our entryway which was permanently repaired. We decided to have a bathroom remodel, and employed Chris and his team to paint, install floor tile, replace a vanity, and build us shelving. We love that we can get everything we need done by making one call to Chris Wardell!
